Highly readable and very prescient, considering it was written in 2016. Thought the FBI solved it too quickly - would have liked that suspense drawn out a bit longer.
Very enjoyable read. I liked the pace and the twists and turns. It appeared the author had done substantial research. It is timely in terms of the recent presidential campaign in the US and parallels to one of the candidates. An excellent read and not one that requires a great deal of time.
This latest novel by Gilbert Brown was a real page-turner.
Reading this novel two months before the actual 2016 presidential election, I found myself deeply engrossed in the plot because it revolved around the murder of the candidate of the fictional National Party during a very divisive campaign which threatened to undermine the integrity of the party.
I strongly recommend this novel to all readers, and especially those who have been avidly following the present campaign.

Screen writers should be knocking on his door, Gilbert Brown shows his talent with this political-based thriller.
This is a very interesting story. The candidate in question has many of the characteristics of Donald Trump and the ties to the Middle East and the Soviets is in keeping with current events. A good read that can be completed in a relatively short time.

"To Kill a Candidate" is a three-part novel, each part more gripping than the previous one. The first part tells of the assassination of a presidential candidate--a man who becomes a candidate with no prior government experience and alienates many along the way. The second part tells of the assassin, a man from a European country, and his elaborate plan to accomplish the killing. The final section deals with how the FBI, with little to go on, succeeds in identifying and tracking down the assassin. A page-turner from beginning to end.
